Fine Gael special conference on rural Ireland hears that 2024 would be a ‘watershed moment’
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has left the possibility of a general election next year open, as Fine Gael met in Kildare for a special conference focused on rural Ireland.
This comes as both Tánaiste Micheál Martin, the Fianna Fáil leader, and Eamon Ryan, the Green Party leader, have made clear they want the government to run its full term to March 2025.
