When asked whether he would go for a general election in 2024, An Taoiseach Varadkar said he hadn’t decided yet.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has left the possibility of a general election next year open, as Fine Gael met in Kildare for a special conference focused on rural Ireland.

This comes as both Tánaiste Micheál Martin, the Fianna Fáil leader, and Eamon Ryan, the Green Party leader, have made clear they want the government to run its full term to March 2025.
