Leo Varadkar leads tributes to ‘doer and philosopher’ John Bruton following death aged 76

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has led the tributes to John Bruton, the former taoiseach and Fine Gael leader, who died on Tuesday aged 76.

In a statement, Varadkar said he was “devastated” to learn of Bruton’s passing after a long illness at the Mater Private Hospital in Dublin.
