Laya Healthcare customers set for third price hike in a year

The company says the increase is driven by the cost and number of claims

Laya Healthcare’s 700,000 customers are due for price hikes averaging 7 per cent from April 1, the company has announced.

It said the price increases are necessary to keep pace with claim costs and claim volumes, which are both at their highest for two decades.

The healthcare provider, which is the second largest in the country, increased its premiums in October and April last year.
