Landlords’ lobby group welcomes end of eviction ban after Dáil vote

New measures proposed as part of a successful Dáil motion to end the eviction ban represent the “first meaningful effort” by politicians to recognise the importance of landlords in solving the rental crisis, according to a lobby group.

The Irish Property Owners Association (IPOA) this evening said it welcomed the effective defeat of a Sinn Féin plan to put pressure on the government to extend the eviction ban amid widespread resistance from opposition parties.
