The owner of Landa, a luxury handbag business set up four years ago, is hoping to raise €500,000 this year to help fund expansion to the United States and Middle East.

Silvana Landa-McAdam currently sells her products on her own website as well as in Brown Thomas and high-end boutiques such as Gallery 9 in Naas in Co Kildare. The business also has concession stands in shops in Los Angeles, Germany and Denmark.

“This year we want to really solidify our exports,” Landa-McAdam told the Business Post. “From quarter three on, we will focus on the US. Then after that, definitely the Middle East. We already have some connections in Dubai, and we are talking to a big group there.”
