Lakeland Dairies to close three facilities and shed 78 jobs as part of business restructuring

Lakeland Dairies, the farmer-owned dairy co-op based in Co Cavan, plans to shutter three of its manufacturing and packaging facilities over the next two years with the loss of 78 jobs.

The dairy co-op said the planned closures and job losses are part of a restructuring of its large-scale milk processing and dairy manufacturing business, which is spread throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.
