A case in which former hurling star DJ Carey is accused of inducing people to pay him money after fraudulently claiming to have cancer is to go to trial in July 2025.
The 52-year-old former All-Ireland winning Kilkenny player appeared at the Criminal Courts of Justice briefly on Friday morning, wearing a navy jacket and a white shirt.
