Kellogg highlights housing shortage as big challenge for workers in Ireland

The cereal company said finding accommodation for employees was a bigger problem here than in other countries

Tammy Winnie: ‘Housing can sometimes be more challenging in Ireland than our other European locations’

The lack of affordable housing is a greater challenge for workers in Ireland than in other countries, a senior executive at Kellogg Europe has said.

Tammy Winnie, vice-president for HR at Kellogg Europe, said the housing shortage was something the company needed “to work through” but added that it did its best to support employees to “get them what they need”.

“Housing can sometimes be more challenging in Ireland than our other European locations – but it is not something that we allow to get in the way of building a strong, experienced, multi-cultural team in Dublin,” Winnie told the Business Post.
