Ambitious plans for 23-storey office and hotel building under threat as agreement with CIÉ on site lapses, financial records show

Johnny Ronan has fought long and hard to get permission to build a 23-storey tower on Tara Street, but new financial records published by his company show the project is in jeopardy.

The accounts show there is now “material uncertainty” over the Ronan Group’s ability to progress with the “landmark” project.

The site beside Tara Street Dart Station is owned by CIÉ and is considered a prime area for development in Dublin city centre.
