Joe Kennedy, the US special economic envoy to Northern Ireland, has urged political parties in the North to “grasp” the opportunity presented by the Windsor Framework deal agreed between the EU and Britain, which he said would “throw gas” on foreign investment.

Speaking to the Business Post, Kennedy said US multinationals are looking to “friend-shore” manufacturing operations in foreign markets where they have confidence in the economy and the political system.
