Italy increases time-frame illegal migrants can be held

Italy will extend the time limit that illegal migrants can be detained in the country, and said it’s planning to build new reception facilities for them, as the right-wing government led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni looks for answers to a new migration surge from North Africa.
