Irish Mirror publisher to axe 450 further jobs

Around 450 jobs are being axed at the publisher of the Irish Mirror and Irish Daily Star as the group looks to slash costs further.

Reach – which owns a suite of national and regional newspapers across the UK, and Ireland – said the job losses come under plans to trim operating costs by 5-6 per cent in 2024.
