Irish M&A deals hit lowest value since 2009

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with any Irish involvement have hit their lowest levels since the Great Recession, according to Refinitiv Deals Intelligence, a market data provider.

The total value of deals in the first quarter of 2023 was $1.5 billion (€1.4 billion), down 87 per cent year on year and the lowest first quarter total since 2009.
