Irish Life in talks with government about creation of new infrastructure fund

Investment management business looking to make ‘two very distinct plays’ in private assets

The investment arm of Irish Life is hoping to put “considerable sums” into Irish infrastructure to support the green transition, if negotiations with the state bear fruit.

Patrick Burke, managing director at Irish Life Investment Management said there were ongoing discussions with Irish government about a creating a similar entity to the Irish Infrastructure Fund (IIF).
