Irish Life cleared to add extra storey to Hume House office block

Insurance firm sold the Balssbridge building during in 2006 for €100 million, before buying it back 10 years later for a fraction of that price

Irish Life’s property arm has secured permission to add another storey to its planned office building on the Hume House site in Dublin 2.

The company previously secured permission in 2021 to demolish Hume House in Ballsbridge and build a new office block on the site.
