Irish house prices likely to level off or fall in 2024, estate agents forecast

Property agents are forecasting a slowdown in the housing market due to the increasing supply of housing and higher interest rates

Almost two thirds of property agents believe house prices in Ireland are close to peak and could soon begin to decline, according to a new industry survey.

The 2024 residential property review and outlook survey carried out by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) found that 63 per cent of its members believe house prices have either peaked and should start to decline or are close to peaking and will level off soon.
