Irish co-founded infant formula firm Bobbie raises $70m, makes first acquisition

Company led by Irish woman Laura Modi, has developed a European-style formula recipe it says is modelled on breast milk

Bobbie, the Irish co-founded start-up which has developed a healthier infant formula for the north American market, is closing a $70 million (€62.9 million) investment round with funds to be used to acquire Nature’s One, a paediatric nutrition company.

The acquisition, the exact price of which has not been disclosed, provides Bobbie with end-to-end control over formula manufacturing through a new manufacturing facility. It also triples the size of its operations.
