Irish brokers facing calls to boycott Axa over links to Israeli firms

Activists have written to Axa Ireland’s boss calling on the French insurer to divest from Israeli firms linked to occupation of Palestinian territories

On Thursday, close to 50 activists staged an occupation of Axa’s Dublin office, which is located on Wolfe Tone Street.

Irish insurance brokers are facing calls to boycott Axa, the French insurance giant, because of its alleged investments in Israeli companies that have been linked with the occupation of Palestinian territories.

Irish pro-Palestine activists have written to all of Ireland’s brokers asking them to “no longer recommend Axa Insurance policies or Axa’s new newly acquired Laya HealthCare policies”, as part of an escalating campaign against companies with links to Israel amid the ongoing conflict in ...
