Ires Reit drops plans to build 400 apartments in Sandyford

The real estate company is to dispose of its Rockbrook development site

Ires Reit has not commented on why it has decided to sell the Rockbrook site in Sandyford

Ires Reit, the country’s biggest landlord, has abandoned plans to build 400 apartments in Sandyford in Dublin, and will sell the site later this year instead.

In 2015, the Dublin-listed real estate company, which has more than 3,900 rental properties in Ireland, acquired a 1.13 hectare site on Carmanhall Road beside Sandyford Business District as part of an €87.3 million deal to purchase the wider Rockbrook property portfolio of apartments in the area.
