EY Ireland has predicted that Ireland’s economy will outperform the Euro area, the UK and the US this year

Ireland’s economy has been forecast to outperform the Euro area, the UK and US in 2024, a new analysis by EY Ireland has said.

The economic preview for the year by the firm said the country is expected to record continued job gains as inflation moderates and the interest rate cycle turns.

Dr Loretta O’Sullivan, chief economist at EY Ireland, said the economy recorded “normalisation in 2023” following “stellar economic growth” in 2021 and 2022.
