Ireland to join European startup alliance in bid to develop more home grown ‘unicorns’

Ireland is set to join the Europe Startup Nations Alliance (ESNA), in an effort to develop more high value Irish companies and home grown unicorns in the years ahead.

Simon Coveney, the enterprise minister, got agreement from cabinet on Tuesday to join the ESNA, which seeks to grow European entrepreneurship by improving national policy frameworks in coordination with the European Commission, member states and national and entrepreneurship bodies.
