Ireland must ‘play hard’ with subsidies to still attract FDI, says IDA chief
There are fears that Ireland might not be able to compete with the massive subsidies now on offer for firms to invest in the US and various EU countries
Ireland needs to “play hard” by competing aggressively on the subsidies it offers to multinationals if it is to continue to lure them to this country, the head of IDA Ireland has said.
“We have to go hard. Let’s be honest; we have to play hard, but appropriately, in terms of our incentives,” Michael Lohan told the Business Post.
