BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, also happens to be the largest asset manager in Ireland, a position it has no plans to relinquish any time soon as it plots further expansion.

Based in Ballsbridge, BlackRock currently employs 130 people in Ireland and has $1 trillion (€920 billion) of funds domiciled here, a quarter of the overall Irish funds market.
