Intel’s US-based chief executive will visit the company’s Leixlip campus this week to discuss the “challenging” circumstances facing the chipmaking giant, the Business Post has learned.

Pat Gelsinger will travel to Ireland to host an open forum with staff to discuss the “current business climate”, as well as the role of Intel’s Irish operation in the company’s future plans, according to an internal memo seen by this publication.
