Large landlords in Ireland are expecting minimal growth over the next decade and “the possibility that some organisations may exit the sector”, a new rental sector report by the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) has warned.

The report added that challenges faced by private rental sector operators, which each control between hundreds and thousands of properties, have “intensified” since 2020 and “now appear to threaten their long-term commitment to the sector”.
