Insolvency levels up 33 per cent this year – report

Business failures remain at historically low levels, according to PwC

Insolvency levels are up 33 per cent in the first nine months of 2023 compared to the same period last year, according to the latest PwC Insolvency Barometer.

There were 468 insolvencies recorded in the first nine months of this year, compared to 352 in the corresponding period last year.

However, the report added that quarter four has historically been “the busiest period” for business failures.
