Inflation fell to below 2% last month - CSO flash reading

Inflation fell to below 2 per cent in the year to last month, a flash estimate from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) has shown.

The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) - a measure used to compare prices across the EU - grew by 1.7 per cent in the 12 months to March, down on the 2.3 per cent growth recorded in the year to February. The reading reflects a slowdown in price inflation ...
