Independent production companies welcome hybrid model at RTÉ
The broadcaster has committed to outsourcing more content as part of its cost cutting plans
RTÉ’s plan to increase the amount of content it outsources has been welcomed by Screen Producers Ireland, a body that represents independent production companies in Ireland.
Suzanne Kirby, chief executive of Screen Producers Ireland, told RTÉ’s Morning Ireland that such an approach had already proven successful with other public service broadcasters.
