IMF forecasts Irish economy will have ‘soft landing’ in 2024 but warns of underlying risks

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has predicted the Irish economy will have a “soft landing” next year as economic growth falls back to more modest levels.

In its latest outlook on the Irish economy, the IMF said the Irish economy has shown “remarkable resilience” in the face of consecutive shocks, including the Covid-19 pandemic and the energy crisis triggered by the war in Ukraine.
