‘If we wanted we could spend £1bn’ DCC chief on energy investment strategy

The company has been spending to accelerate the group’s growth with a focus on energy

DCC, the international sales, marketing and support services group, has capacity to spend £1 billion on M&A to strengthen its position in the energy sector, according to the company’s chief executive.

The Dublin-headquartered group operates across three main divisions: energy, healthcare and technology.

Last year it spent around £490 million to acquisitions to accelerate the group's growth, with operating profit increasing by 4.1 per cent to £682.8 million.
