The Fórsa trade union has backed a proposal for indefinite strike action in a number of agencies funded by the HSE.

The action could involve hundreds of health and care staff in voluntary and community organisations, in a number of agencies selected by the union. Fórsa has said it will pay the wage costs of striking staff. The union is now set to ballot members to see if they are in favour of the move.
