Housing associations provided almost half of all social homes last year

Housing associations provided almost half of all social units and about a third of cost-rentals last year, according to a new report.

The study found that Approved Housing Bodies (AHB) delivered 5,924 new social and cost-rental homes in 2023. This equated to 47 per cent of social housing delivery and 30 per cent of cost-rentals.
