House prices higher than Celtic Tiger boom - CSO

Prices rose more outside Dublin in the last 12 months than in the capital, according to the Central Statistics Office’s property price register

Property prices have surpassed their Celtic Tiger-era levels, reaching 103.9 per cent of the 2007 peak, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

Average prices across the country grew by a further 4.4 per cent over the last 12 months to €327,500.

The CSO figures also show house prices grew at a slower rate in Dublin (2.7 per cent) than the rest of the country (5.7 per cent).
