Estate agency DNG has revised its property inflation forecasts for 2024, predicting house prices will now rise up to five-times faster in Dublin than previously expected.

Keith Lowe, chief executive of DNG, said the agency previously forecast property prices would increase by around 1 per cent higher in Dublin this year, and 4 per cent outside the capital.

“I think prices this year in Dublin are definitely going to be up 4 per cent or 5 per cent,” Lowe told the Business Post. “Outside Dublin, it's probably going to be 6 per cent or 7 per cent. That's a good deal higher than where we thought it was going to be.”
