Hosts of Ukrainian refugees can now apply for €400 monthly payment
Those who have offered accommodation in their homes for at least six months can claim expenses
People who are hosting Ukrainian refugees in their homes for at least six months can now apply for a €400 state payment per month to cover their expenses.
Around 42,000 refugees have arrived from Ukraine to date, with more than 30,000 of them living in state-provided accommodation.
But there are thousands of Ukrainian refugees who are staying with host families or in second properties made available during the crisis.
