Hospital waiting lists fell for the second year in a row in 2023, but failed to reach their overall reduction target.

In a memo brought to cabinet on Tuesday, Stephen Donnelly, the minister for health, outlined how hospital waiting lists had fallen across a number of metrics, from overall numbers to waiting times.
