Home prices increase by 7.8 per cent in December

The annual rate of increase in home prices has continued to slow for a ninth consecutive month

Inflation in Irish home prices has continued to decline, with the annual rate now at 7.8 per cent, new data from the Central Statistics Office’s (CSO) has shown.

The information released as part of the CSO’s latest Property Price Index showed the annual rate of increase in home prices was down from 8.5 per cent in November and significantly below the 14.2 per cent recorded in December 2021.
