Google staff secure right to set up EU-wide workers council based in Ireland

Establishment of European works council means company will have to consult with staff before imposing layoffs or making other transnational decisions

Google workers have won the right to set up a new Europe-wide council to engage directly with management over decisions such as job cuts and it will be located in Dublin, the Business Post has learned.
