Google is facing a significant backlash among its Irish workforce over plans to clamp down on remote working, the Business Post can reveal.

The results of a survey of staff at the tech giant, which have been obtained by this newspaper, show that 85 per cent of respondents want the firm to walk back its new hybrid work policy.

Under that policy, employees’ office attendance is factored into performance reviews.
