PTSB is aiming to double its market share of new business lending, as the bank beefs up its SME and asset finance units to fill the gap left by the now-departed Ulster Bank.

Eamonn Crowley, chief executive of PTSB, said PTSB wants to take 10 per cent of Ireland’s new business lending market – adding that it currently has a 5 or 6 per cent share.
