Gardaí were warned last week over possible clashes at Dublin asylum seeker camp

Local TDs warned Gardaí last week that clashes could break out in Dublin city at the site of an asylum seeker encampment set up in recent weeks.

Skirmishes broke out on Friday evening between anti-immigration activists and counter-protestors near a temporary camp for homeless asylum seekers on Upper Sandwith Street near Pearse Station.
