Galway apartments listed for short-term let, despite objections from local council

A Galway apartment block owner, who recently received planning approval to lease his city centre residential homes as short-term lets, has started to list the 17 apartments for up to €356 a night or €2,500 a week.

The properties, called Citypoint Apartments, have been advertised on Airbnb by a firm connected to Eugene Keville, the owner of The Western Hotel in Galway.
