Correspondence between government officials and the legal services watchdog reveals long-running concerns about funding for the new body.

The Legal Services Regulatory Authority (LSRA) is supposed to be self-sufficient in terms of revenue but remains in start-up mode more than two years after its establishment and has been kept afloat to date by a €3 million cash injection from the Department of Justice.
