The Irish pharmaceutical industry should prepare for a damaging trade war if Donald Trump, the former US President, is elected to office again later this year, a former EU trade commissioner has warned.

Phil Hogan, said he expected Trump, the likely Republican party candidate, to be the next US president and warned that pharma companies, in particular, needed to prepared for tariffs and an all-out EU-US trade war if he is.
