Hometree, the Irish-founded home services and insurance company, has appointed Tommy Breen, the former chief executive of Dublin and London-listed DCC as its new chairman.

Founded by Dubliner Simon Phelan, Hometree has grown to become one of the biggest challengers to British Gas and HomeServe in the UK home services and cover market.
