Former council boss appointed interim chief executive of Peter McVerry Trust

Danny McLoughlin’s appointment comes amid a series of high-level probes into governance and financial matters at the charity

Danny McLoughlin, the former chief executive of South Dublin County Council, has been appointed interim chief executive of Peter McVerry Trust, the embattled housing and homeless charity.

In a statement, the board of the trust said McLoughlin has been appointed “to provide management services to Peter McVerry Trust, to include the functions of the CEO on an interim basis”.

McLoughlin will take up the role from next Monday.
