The case was entered into the commercial division of the High Court today

The former chairman and managing director of Russian-owned Aughinish Alumina has sued his tax advisor for allegedly giving him bad advice.

Damien Clancy, who is currently retired, alleges that Kennelly Tax Advisers Limited, and in particular Eoin Kennelly, provided him with negligent tax advice which resulted in him incurring liabilities of over €4 million.
