Forás Capital has announced what it claims is Ireland first ‘search fund’ with the capacity to acquire a single company valued at up to €50 million.

Founded by Sam Batran, Foras is backed by a prominent group of investors that include Sean Mitchell, who successfully exited Movidius to Intel in a $400 million deal in 2016, Frank Kenny, co-founder of Delta Partners, and Padraig Ó Céidigh, the former independent senator and Aer Arann founder.
