Flutter snaps up 51% stake in Serbian betting firm

Gambling giant Flutter has acquired a 51 per cent stake in MaxBet, a Serbian sports betting and gaming operator, for €141 million.

Flutter also has the opportunity to acquire the remaining 49 per cent in 2029, it said in a statement.

The Irish betting firm said MaxBet would give it the platform to access fast-growing markets and provide an opportunity to accelerate growth in the Balkans region.
