‘First lady of racing’ leaves almost €6 million in will

Jacqueline O’Brien, the widow of horseracing legend Vincent O’Brien, has left €5.92 million in her will, probate documents have disclosed.

The former author and photographer, who The Irish Field referred to upon her death as the ‘first lady of racing’, passed away in March 2016 aged 89, on the opening day of Cheltenham, the event that had been so pivotal in her and her husband’s lives over the years.
